Terms of service

The terms governing your use of this website. Commercial engagement terms, when we provide background verification services, are governed separately by a Master Services Agreement and Data Processing Agreement signed at programme onboarding.

Effective: 17 April 2026 · Last updated: 17 April 2026

1. Scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

If you engage OutsourceVerify to provide background verification services, your commercial relationship is governed by the executed Master Services Agreement, Statement of Work, and Data Processing Agreement (together, the "Service Agreement"). The Service Agreement supersedes these Terms with respect to that relationship.

2. Permitted use

The Site, its content, design, and source code are provided for informational and commercial-evaluation purposes. You may:

3. Restrictions

You may not, without our prior written consent:

4. Intellectual property

All content on this Site, including text, design, methodology descriptions, frameworks, illustrations, and code, is owned by or licensed to OutsourceVerify and protected by copyright, trade-mark, and other intellectual-property laws. The "OutsourceVerify" name and gold-on-navy mark are trade marks of OutsourceVerify.

Third-party trade marks (Microsoft Azure, ISO, GDPR, AICTE, etc.) are referenced for descriptive purposes only and remain the property of their respective owners. Reference does not imply endorsement, partnership, or sponsorship unless explicitly stated.

5. Accuracy of information

We make reasonable efforts to keep Site content accurate and current. The Knowledge Base in particular is updated periodically with primary-source citations. However:

6. Forms and submissions

When you submit a form on this Site, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, that you are authorised to submit it (including on behalf of your organisation if applicable), and that you consent to us using the information to respond to your enquiry. Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. No advice; no warranty

The Site provides general information about background verification, data protection compliance, and related topics. It does not constitute legal, regulatory, financial, or operational advice. Decisions about your specific compliance posture or vendor selection should be made with appropriate professional guidance.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OutsourceVerify, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Site, including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.

Where we engage with you commercially, the limitation of liability under the executed Service Agreement governs that engagement.

9. Third-party links

The Site contains links to external third-party resources: regulator websites, statutes, industry references, and primary sources cited in our Knowledge Base. We do not control those resources and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. A link is not an endorsement.

10. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or restrict your access to the Site at our discretion if we reasonably believe you are using it in a way that breaches these Terms or applicable law, or that risks security or integrity for other users.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after a revision constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which OutsourceVerify is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
